President Trump is set to appear Thursday morning on "Fox & Friends" in a prerecorded interview, the network announced.
Co-host Brian Kilmeade conducted the interview with the president on Wednesday following a roundtable discussion on the threat from MS-13 gangs, at the Morrelly Homeland Security Center in Bethpage, N.Y.
"During the interview, the president discussed immigration, the latest news surrounding the summit with North Korea and former FBI Director James Comey's recent tweet," the network said in its announcement.
"Additionally, President Trump reacted to the new NFL ruling on national anthem protests," it adds.
Trump reportedly watches "Fox & Friends" on a daily basis and regularly lauds the show and its hosts on Twitter.
The president called into the program for a sweeping telephone interview in late April, during which he distanced himself from his longtime personal attorney Michael Cohen who has faced scrutiny from federal investigators.
The former reality TV star was also a regular on the program for years during a segment called "Monday Mornings With Trump" before he announced his White House candidacy in 2015.
Trump has not appeared on rival MSNBC in any capacity in more than two years. His last appearance on CNN was August 2016.
The president's last broadcast interview on a major national news network occurred in May 2017 on NBC with "Nightly News" anchor Lester Holt.
